When you get old, you may be subjected to erectile malfunction, that is, the penis cannot achieve or maintain a normal erection status. The degree of sexual satisfaction is therefore affected.

Erectile malfunction is not an embarrassing thing. Many men at a certain stage will have such cases. Experts believe that fifty-two percent of men between the ages of 40-70 are affected. It is estimated that there are 600,000 men in Hong Kong suffering from several degrees of erectile malfunction. 


The Causes of Erectile Malfunction
 

There are several potential causes of erectile dysfunction. You should not blame yourself for having erectile malfunctions. Instead, you should address the problem and seek solution. Erectile malfunction can be caused by vascular diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. 

In fact, 50 percent of men with diabetes have erectile malfunction. Depression, use of some drugs (such as antidepressants and blood pressure lowering drugs), prostate surgery, or damage of central nervous system and penis related parts have correlations to erectile malfunction as well. In addition, habits such as smoking, excessive drinking, taking drugs, lack of sleep and stress will lead to erectile malfunction.
